OHRID TECH CITY may from time to time modify the General Conditions of Use, which will be binding as soon as the User accesses the Web/Platform, once the changes have been published on the Web/Platform for Users. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Web Site” or “Platform”). By accessing or using the Web site/Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Web site/Platform.
The Web site/Platform is owned and operated by “Ohrid Tech City – Ohrid” – Association for technological development and support of startups and high-tech companies (hereinafter, known collectively as either “OHRID TECH CITY”, “OTC”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
The Association for Technological Development and Support of Startups and High-Tech Companies – OHRID TECH CITY – Ohrid is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that aims to connect, support and promote the local startup/technological/innovative community (eco-system) from Ohrid, and promote the City of Ohrid, the region and Macedonia as an attractive startup/business/tech hub offering lucrative investment and development opportunities that generate employment, innovation and growth.
OHRID TECH CITY (hereinafter, the “Ohrid Tech City” or “OTC”) is a private association registered in the Register of Associations of Macedonian Law, under number 7845944. This association is the owner of the domain name ohridtechcity.com , startupohrid.com and ohridtechathlon.com

The Web site/Platform provides technology infrastructure that enables users to:
“User”, “you”, “hacker”, or “applicant” refers to any individual/company (or any other entity: attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, partners, volunteers etc.) accessing the Web site/Platform.
“Event Organiser” refers to any entity listing or managing an event through the Web site/Platform.
“Parties” refers collectively to users, (co)organisers, and us.
These Terms apply to all participants of the OHRID TECHATHLON, including attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, partners, and volunteers. The Event is organized by “Ohrid Tech City – Ohrid” – Association for technological development and support of startups and high-tech companies, a legally recognized entity based in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
By registering or engaging in Event activities, participants accept these Terms.
The following rules & conditions apply to each OHRID TECH CITY event (“The Event”)
Ohrid Tech City events are intended for collaboration and learning. We value the participation of each member of the community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the event(s) that are organized or co-organized by Ohrid Tech City or its co-partners. To make clear what is expected, all attendees (including partners, speakers, sponsors, judges, mentors and more) are required to conform to the following Code of Conduct Code of Conduct and Rules and Conditions within this Terms and conditions and Organizer/Event’s web site. We will enforce this code throughout all events and/or Ohrid Tech City/Startup Ohrid initiatives.
The Primary Terms set forth here apply to all onsite Event activities. The Primary Terms along with the Supplementary Virtual Attendee Terms & Conditions, where applicable, are collectively referred to as the “Terms”.
PRIMARY TERMS
Description of Services
The Event is scheduled to take place from 30 October to 1 November 2026 in Ohrid, Macedonia.
This website provides access to an account, registration and other services for the Event(s), including but not limited to information regarding promotional, sales, sponsorship, and networking opportunities for companies doing business in the ICT or mobile industry (“Services”).
The access and benefits associated with each pass are located here. Please note that You may not have access to certain sessions or activities depending on the type of pass that You purchase.
OHRID TECH CITY (Ohrid Tech City – Ohrid” – Association for technological development and support of startups and high-tech companies), with its principal place of business located at Slavej Planina 12b, MKD 6000, Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia.
A PRIVATE NON PROFIT ASSOCIATION, ORGANISER OF OHRID TECHATHLON, WELCOME YOU TO OHRID TECHATHLON 2026 (THE “EVENT”).
THE ASSOCIATION FOR TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT FOR STARTUPS AND HIGH-TECH COMPANIES/ OHRID TECH CITY – OHRID (FROM HERE ON “THE ORGANISER”) PROVIDE THE EVENT TO YOU, YOUR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTRACTORS, AND ANY OTHER ENTITY OR PERSON ON WHOSE BEHALF YOU (COLLECTIVELY, “YOU”) ACCEPT THESE OHRID TECHATHLON 2026 ATTENDEE TERMS & CONDITIONS.
THESE OHRID TECHATHLON 2026 ATTENDEE TERMS & CONDITIONS ARE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE ORGANISER AND YOU.
YOU ACCEPT THEM AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM BY: (I) SIGNING UP FOR AN ACCOUNT ON THIS WEBSITE; (II) REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT VIA THIS WEBSITE; (III) ACCEPTING AN INVITATION TO THE EVENT; (IV) CONSENTING TO A THIRD PARTY REGISTERING YOU FOR THE EVENT; (V) ORDERING OTHER GOODS OR SERVICES VIA THIS WEBSITE; (VI) USING THIS WEBSITE; or (VII) ATTENDING THE EVENT ((I) THROUGH (VII) COLLECTIVELY, THE “REGISTRATION ACTIVITIES”).
Aristokrates OÜ/Agenta OS serves as OHRID TECHATHLON 2026 payment processor for Registration Activities.
These OHRID TECHATHLON 2026 Attendee Terms & Conditions apply to all Registration Activities Consummated between You and OHRID TECHATHLON 2026.
If You are registering on behalf of your employer or a third party, You represent and warrant that You are at least eighteen (18) years old and are authorised to accept these Terms on behalf of each person that You register, and that each person You register agrees individually to be bound by these Terms and agrees to indemnify the Organiser for violation of these Terms.
If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain consent from your parent or guardian to participate in our events and your parent or guardian is required to agree to these conditions – an agreement signed by your parent or guardian must be submitted separately before attending The Event. You acknowledge that, even as a minor, you must read and understand the content of this Agreement, and that you have the capacity and intend to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
You also represent and warrant that You have registered to attend the Event having only used a registration code that you are actually authorised to use.
By all mentioned above you represent that:
Users under 13 are strictly prohibited. If we discover such cases it will be immediately removed and not allowed to apply, enter or attend any events mentioned hereunder.

We are not liable for unauthorized account, identity or digital pass (e-ID tag) use.
9.1 Registration requires Organizer approval and is complete only upon full payment through official channels.
9.2 “Digital passes, eIDs, e-tags or e – registration and assessment platform subscriptions are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as otherwise stated herein.” Substitution, resale, or assignment without written consent is prohibited.
9.3 The Organizer reserves the right to deny admission or remove participants for inappropriate, unlawful, or disruptive behavior.
10.1 Application Procedure. You may apply by (a) creating a Web site/Platform Account and completing the online application form during the published application window, or (b) submitting the required information via a third-party service specified by us for a particular Event.
10.2 Accuracy of Information. All information you provide must be true, complete, and kept up to date. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to, or misuse of, your Web site/Platform Account.
10.3 Team and Company Applications. If you apply on behalf of a team or legal entity, you represent that every team member or entity participant has read and accepted these Terms and that you have authority to bind them.

All payments must be made in MKD (Macedonian Denars) or in EUR (Euros) to Ohrid Tech City appointed payment processor/merchant processor/processor/digital pass/eID tag/e-badge/e-subscription (re)seller Aristokrates OÜ/Agenta OS.
Admission to the Event will not be granted without payment being received in full by the applicable due date. Ohrid Tech City receipt of an application for registration and/or Your payment for registration does not constitute Ohrid Tech City acceptance of Your offer to register for the Event. Whether or not Ohrid Tech City accepts your application is within Ohrid Tech City sole discretion.
Ohrid Tech City will return any applications and payments that are not accepted or violate any of these terms and condition mentioned here.
No representative from OTC will request payments via email or unofficial channels.
If any such request is received, it must be treated as fraudulent and reported immediately to: support@ohridtechcity.com
We are not responsible for any fraud, misrepresentation, or unauthorized payment requests made by any unauthorized third parties, including event’s attendees, exhibitors, speakers co-organisers, partners, sponsors and any other entities not eligible to collect payments for/on behalf or without any prior consent or authorization by OTC.
We are not responsible for non-payment, delayed payment, or disputes related to prizes, rewards, or compensation(s) from event’s sponsors, vendors, service providers or prize awarding partners.
Ohrid Tech City is not responsible for any sponsorship commitments, unless explicitly governed by a separate written MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with defined terms and conditions.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. You are liable for the full cost of Your admission to the Event(s) (including any additional services) notwithstanding Your subsequent cancellation, failure to attend, or any government rules or regulations that prevent You from travelling to the Event.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. You are also solely responsible for cancellation of travel and hotel reservations (including any associated cancellation charges).
Ohrid Tech City permits pass (digital pass/eID tag/e-tag/e-badges/e-subscriptions or similar) downgrades, discounts or partial pass/e-access/e-registration/e-subscription reimbursements or refunds; however, You are liable for the full registration fee associated with the original digital pass and/or e- registration and assessment platform access( subscription plan) purchased. The organizer reserves it’s right of sole discretion to decide whether to allow or decline any claimed partial- or a full- refund of the digital pass price.
In case of cancellation or material alteration, “Organizer shall not be held liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred, other than, at Organizer’s discretion, to a non-, a partial- or a full- refund of the digital pass/subscription price.”
All cancellations by Participants must be received in writing no later than 30 days before the first day of the Event for a full refund of Participant Fees paid, less a 10% administration (transaction/payment management/account management) charge.
We cannot accept verbal cancellations. Participants whose cancellations are received after this deadline shall be liable for the full Fee.
Participants may nominate a substitute to attend an Event in his or her place, subject to their agreement and compliance with these Terms.
Notifications of cancellations and substitutions should be sent in writing to contact@ohridtechcity.com
Registration details for any substitute must be received by contact@ohridtechcity.com at least 10 Business Days before the Event.
Refunds shall be issued back to the debit/credit card used for payment or by bank transfer. Refunds back to debit or credit card can only be processed within 60 days of the original transaction date.
Refunds for earlier transactions must be processed by bank transfer.
Ohrid Tech City reserves the right to cancel Your registration without notice if payment as required by these Terms is not received by OTC by the due date, You fail to provide all information required in the relevant registration form, or You are in violation of these Terms or any other applicable terms and conditions. You agree that OTC will not provide a refund and is not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from any such cancellations. (for more details on cancellations please refer to section 13.Cancellations)
The organizer reserves it’s right of sole discretion to decide whether to allow or decline any claimed partial- or a full- refund of the digital pass price.
If the Event is postponed, the Organiser will provide You with a substitute pass for the new event. No refunds will be provided if the Event is postponed.
For the avoidance of doubt, You agree in no event shall Ohrid Tech City be liable to You or any third party for any other costs, expenses, or damages, direct or indirect, consequential, punitive, incidental, special or general resulting from a postponement, cancellation, or termination, including but not limited to travel and accommodation.
14.1 The Organizer may modify the Event program, including speakers, locations, and schedules, without notice.
14.2 In case of cancellation or material alteration, “Organizer shall not be held liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred, other than, at Organizer’s discretion, a partial or full refund of the digital pass, e-tag or e – registration and assessment platform access price or subscription.”
14.3 For Force Majeure events (war, natural disaster, pandemic, government restrictions), no refund or compensation is guaranteed.
The OTC acknowledges that there may be circumstances in which a guardian has to bring an individual younger than 16 years of age (a “Minor”) to the Event in the absence of adequate childcare.
Please keep in mind that the Event includes the following before deciding to bring a Minor to the Event as the Event environment may not be suitable for all Minors:
Loud noises and music
Significant visual stimulation (including bright lights, large screens and demonstrations)
Should you decide to still bring a Minor to the Event we are committed to providing you and your Minor with a safe experience.
General Event Requirements: The adult must accompany the Minor at all times and is responsible for ensuring both the Minor’s safety and the Minor’s compliance with all rules and regulations, including all health and safety protocols. Adults are asked to help maintain a professional, disturbance-free environment. For safety reasons, Minors are not permitted entry to the Event venue during build-up and dismantling. No exceptions are provided.
You agree to (i) carefully review the Event health and safety protocols and Facility (venue) rules located here prior to the Event, and (ii) comply with the Event health and safety protocols at all times during the Event (at the venue, location, facility, event premises or within organizational area)
You acknowledge and agree that the Event health and safety protocols are based on the current environment and are subject to change at any time to reflect the latest developments, guidelines and regulations developed by the applicable government authorities, the Venue, public health officials or the Organiser. You must fully comply with all of the Event health and safety protocols in place at the time of the Event.
Failure to follow the Event health and safety protocols may, in the sole discretion of the OTC, result in (i) You being prohibited from entering the Event, (ii) You being ejected from the Event, (iii) You being permanently barred from attending the Event or any other OTC event, and/or (iv) the OTC , the Venue or applicable authorities taking any other action permitted by law. In any such circumstances, You remain liable for payment of the full registration fee associated with Your pass and not eligible to any partial or full digital pass, e-tag or e – registration and assessment platform prices or subscriptions refund.
You must comply with all facility and equipment rules and requirements during your participation in The Event, including all safety instructions and requirements. You are not to take unreasonable risks while using the facilities where The Event is located, including causing any other person using such facilities or equipment an unreasonable risk of harm.
For the safety and security of all attendees, OTC reserves the right (as needed/or by sole discretion/or by case to care principal) to enable security personnel to perform security checks of any attendee at any time. OTC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please remain alert and keep personal possessions secure at all times. You agree to carry Your mobile telephone (matching the mobile phone number that You provided during registration) with You at all times at the Event so that You can receive important alerts regarding health and safety and other essential information.
OTC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse admittance or remove any attendee from the Event venue, entry points, or offsite location controlled by OTC at any time, without liability, including, without limitation, where an attendee has violated these Terms.
You agree to:
You retain ownership of all content you submit. However, by submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
By participating, attendees grant the Organizer “an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and distribute such media content for promotional, educational, archival, or any lawful purpose.”
Attendees also grant the Organizer right to share user data or user-submitted or created media content (before, during and after the event) with third parties for promotional, educational, archival, or any lawful purpose.
You agree to carry Your government issued photo identification in the form of a passport or EU/ national ID card with You at all times during the Event.
You will be required to produce such identification upon request. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all personal data provided while registering for the Event.
Failure to enter accurate data may result in adverse consequences, including but not limited to, Your failure to receive critical information and the inability to reset account passwords. OTC/Ogranizer is not liable for any damages that may result from the submission of incomplete or inaccurate information.
Your digital pass or e-pass code is personal to You. Sale of Event digital passes/pass codes/e-tags/platform subscriptions(plans) other than directly from the Organiser is strictly prohibited. If an invitation code was given to You by an exhibitor, sponsor, advertiser, or other party who properly acquired the pass from OTC (the “Pass/Pass code/E-tag Provider”), that code is personal to You, and cannot be sold, gifted, published, or otherwise transferred without express permission of the Organiser.
You agree you will not sell your pass, purchase a pass from any person or entity other than the Organiser, publish/distribute any code such that others may use it without appropriate authorization, or in any way work to facilitate access (including Your own) to the Event by unauthorized means.
By registering using a pass provided by the Pass Provider, You consent to the disclosure of Your personal data to such Pass Provider, including Your name, email address, company, and job title. If You wish to exercise any data protection rights with regard to how a Pass Provider processes or uses Your personal data, You must do so directly with such Pass Provider.
For generating and issuing event digital passes, (Co)Organizer/Pass or e-tag provider may charge You (the Customer) a transaction fee and/or a digital pass price fee.
The transaction fee and digital pass price fee cover the costs incurred by (Co)Organizer/ Pass or e-tag provider in providing services, including Pass/Pass Codes/E-tag/ e – registration and assessment platform subscriptions sales, , generation, and issuance, transaction processing, and purchase services.
In the event of contract cancellation and refund of the digital pass price, the Customer is not entitled to a refund of the transaction fee and digital pass processing fee.
After a successful purchase, the digital pass/pass code will be sent to the Your (Customer’s) email address provided during the purchase. The Organizer may, at its own discretion, decide to use other methods of payment and delivery of digital pass/pass code/e-registration code in accordance with the prevailing conditions (internet outage, unavailability of certain services, at the request of the client, in exceptional cases and occasions when the transaction cannot be carried out electronically or in accordance with the stated rules of payment and delivery of digital passes/pass codes.

According to to Article 144(12) point 12 of the Macedonian Act on Consumer Rights/Consumer Protection Act and EU Consumer Rights Directive(s), the Customer does not have the right to unilaterally terminate the Digital Pass sales contract, as the contract’s subject is the provision of services related to leisure activities occurring at a specific time or period.
The Customer can/may only claim a refund for the Digital Pass price in accordance with the Event Organizer’s Digital Pass or Subscription Sale Conditions and in accordance with the publicly available terms and conditions accepted by the buyer at the time of purchasing the digital pass.
Refunds may be only possible in case of event cancellation and are not possible for personal reasons such as illness, business obligations, change of mind, etc.
When refunding (if justified and upon prior discretionary case-by case revision and final decision of the organizer) the digital pass price, Digital Pass/E-tag Provider, Payment Processing Provider and/or the Event Organizer and/or Event Partner have the right to withhold any amount for ancillary costs, such as digital pass delivery, banking, and transaction fees, e – registration and assessment platform usage cost and other similar costs.
The organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to decide whether (or not) and how (if it is decided at sole discretion of the (co)organizer and under prior case-by-case revision process) to compensate the participant, i.e. it will have the discretion to decide on any non-, partial- or full- refund of the funds paid and the method of return/refund.
Registering for and attending the Event does not grant You any rights to use the OTC name, logos or trademarks.
The Services and materials provided by registering and attending the Event, including all images, designs, photographs, writings, graphs, data, or otherwise are OTC property and are protected by international copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights.
Event(t) organiser is solely responsible for:
Organizer is not liable for any disputes between sponsors, vendors, service providers , third parties and atendeess/participants.
26.1 Selection. Admission to an Event is at (Co)Organizer/OTC/Ohrid Techathlon’s sole discretion and cannot be appealed. We may later invite previously rejected applicants.
26.2 Event Rules. You must comply with these Terms and any Event-specific rules announced before or during the Event. If Event-specific rules are not provided, or a topic is not addressed by them, the General Event Rules in Section/Article 29 will apply.
26.3 Submission Form/Platform. We may use either our own platform or a third-party service for registrations, applications, and project Submissions. If a third-party service is used, we will clearly identify it and provide a link to its terms and privacy policy.
26.4 Disqualification & Cancellation. We may disqualify you or cancel/suspend an Event at any time and for any reason. We are not liable for any resulting costs or damages.
26.5 Prizes. Winners are selected at OTC/Ohrid Techathlon ‘s (or its appointed jury’s) sole discretion, and decisions are final. You are responsible for all costs and/or taxes associated with any prize.
You are solely responsible for all content—including but not limited to code, text, images, audio, video, and other materials—uploaded or transmitted by you to a (Co)Organizer/OTC/Ohrid Techathlon’s or third-party service in connection with an Event (“Participant Content”). We may, but are not obligated to, monitor Participant Content and remove any content that we believe breaches these Terms or applicable law.
28.1 Participants must act professionally and respectfully. “Harassment, discrimination, offensive behavior, or any act that disrupts the Event shall result in immediate expulsion.”
28.2 Participants must comply with local laws, venue policies, and Organizer directions.
28.3 By all mentioned above you agree to:
28.3.1 Anti-Harassment Policy
OTC is dedicated to providing a positive, harassment-free Event experience for all participants and staff, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age or religion.OTC does not tolerate harassment in any form.
The use of harassing language and imagery (including that of a sexualised nature) is not appropriate at any OTC event or related social activity sponsored or organised by OTC/Startup Ohrid. Any Event participant found to be violating this policy may be sanctioned or expelled without a refund at OTC sole discretion. 28.3.2 Smoking/E-Cigarettes
You are strictly prohibited from smoking, including using smokeless tobacco products, e-cigarettes or unregulated nicotine products, except in designated areas where You maintain at least two meters of physical distance from other individuals at all times.
28.3.3 Prohibited Items
Alcohol, drugs or weapons of any kind shall not be present or consumed during any official The Event function. Participants will act responsibly and should wear their The Event identification badge at all times during the event.
28.3.4 Safety, Security and Facility Rules
You must comply with all facility and equipment rules and requirements during your participation in The Event, including all safety instructions and requirements. You are not to take unreasonable risks while using the facilities where The Event is located, including causing any other person using such facilities or equipment an unreasonable risk of harm
28.3.5 Event Health and Safety Protocols
You agree to (i) carefully review the Event health and safety protocols and Facility (venue) rules located here prior to the Event, and (ii) comply with the Event health and safety protocols at all times during the Event (at the venue, location, facility, event premises or within organizational area)
28.3.6 Fraudulent content or action.

We expect participants to follow and comply with these Code of Conduct principles at all OTC/Startup Ohrid/Ohrid Techathlon events, workshop venues, hackathon-related competitions, meet-ups and social events (in both on-line and off-line versions).
Challenge-specific judging criteria will be published for each Event and typically consider: (i) relevance to the brief, (ii) novelty/creativity, (iii) technical quality, (iv) user experience, (v) completeness/demo-ability, and (vi) feasibility/impact.

We expect participants to follow and comply with these Rules and Conditions at all OTC/Startup Ohrid/Ohrid Techathlon events, workshop venues, hackathon-related competitions, meet-ups and social events (in both on-line and off-line versions).
27.1 Confidential Information. During your interaction with (Co)Organizer/OTC/Ohrid Techathlon/Sponsor/Event partner you may receive non-public, proprietary, or otherwise confidential information (“Confidential Information”). You agree to keep Confidential Information secret and use it solely for participating in the Event.
27.2 Challenge-Specific NDAs. (Co)Organizer/OTC/Ohrid Techathlon or its partners may require you to sign a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement before you access certain materials or participate in specific challenges.
The Event website or app may contain or make available information on accommodations, transportation, and other services provided by third parties (each, a “Third Party Service”). Ohrid Tech City is not responsible for any issues or disputes between you and any provider of Third Party Services. You are responsible for complying with each Third Party Service Provider’s terms and conditions and cancellation policy, including if the Event is cancelled or postponed for any reason.
The Even web site/Platform may also integrate with third-party tools or link to external websites. We are not responsible for their content, performance, or compliance.
The Event and the Services are subject to change at any time. OTC does not guarantee the attendance of any third party (including any exhibitor or speaker), or that any scheduled session, breakout, keynote or other activity will take place.
OTC reserves the right, including without prior notice, to make any change to the Event or Services at any time for any reason (including modification of the schedule or content of, or cancellation of, any session, breakout, keynote or other activity).
The Organiser is not responsible for, and will not issue any refunds, if there is change to an Event (including modification of the overall Event program, or the schedule or content of, or cancellation of any session, keynote or other activity).
OTC reserves the right, including without prior notice, to limit the number of Event attendees and participants, to cancel or terminate any Event registration, to bar any person from attending all or any part of any Event, and to refuse to provide any person with access to Event materials.
All prize announcements made at The Event are tentative and subject to change. The Organizers reserve the right to modify, withdraw, or correct prize announcements if any discrepancies or errors are discovered.
34.1 All Event content belongs to the Organizer or respective third parties.
34.2 By participating, attendees grant the Organizer “an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and distribute such media for promotional, educational, archival, or any lawful purpose.”
34.3 Speakers/Workshop lecturers/Trainers warrant they possess all rights to present and distribute materials used.
34.4 By all mentioned above you agree to and represent that:
34.4.1 Intellectual Property Rights
You will own any developments made by you (your team) during The Event, and all right, title and interest in those developments, including the intellectual property rights therein, shall belong to you. However, you acknowledge that during the course of The Event, you may obtain access to products, developments, information and other materials belonging to other participants of The Event, the sponsors of The Event and/or other third parties (“Third Party Materials”), and that nothing in this Agreement is deemed to transfer any ownership, right, title or interest in such Third Party Materials to you. Your only rights to the Third Party Materials shall be those expressly granted to you by the owner(s) of the Third Party Materials. Specifically, any APIs or other software provided to you by sponsors of The Event are subject to the subscription terms and software licenses associated with such APIs or other software.
34.4.2 Information Sharing
You acknowledge that The Event is intended to be an event where ideas are shared freely, and therefore acknowledge that any information that you share with other participants of The Event, the sponsors of The Event and/or other third parties during The Event is solely at your discretion and risk. If you wish to protect your information, it is solely your responsibility to implement confidentiality and security measures with respect to the persons to whom you are disclosing your information. None of the Releases shall have any responsibility under this Agreement or by virtue of their participation in The Event with respect to your information.
34.4.3 Media Rights
You acknowledge that the organizers and sponsors of The Event, including the OTC /UIST-The University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul The Apostle and other co-partners(collectively, the “Organizers”) will be recording The Event event on video, photographs, audio recording and other media, and therefore agree that:
34.4.4 Social Media
You consent to being tagged or mentioned on social media platforms in relation to your participation in The Event. This includes photos, videos, and other media content where you may be present.
34.4.5 Communication and Data Sharing
You agree that the Organizers may share your registration details and other information with the sponsors of The Event. You consent to communications from the Organizers and sponsors regarding their products, services, and future events.
34.4.6 Content Recording
Participants acknowledge and agree that workshop or other programme or event-related content may be recorded and shared privately and publicly.
34.4.7 Alternative IPR Arrangements.
For certain challenges or Events, (Co)organizer/OTC/Ohrid Techathlon or its partners may specify alternative intellectual-property terms in a separate written agreement.
In general, Ohrid Tech City collects and uses information about You in connection with the provision of the Services and for account administration. If you complete any Registration Activities for the Event, OTC will collect certain information about You and use it to provide You with information and services associated with the Event. We process this information to fulfil the offer You have made to receive Services.

An exhibitor, partner, sponsor or other third party (collectively “Event Partners”) at the Event may wish to scan Your badge so they can contact You with more information. Third party lead management service providers provide badge scanning services to Event Partners who purchase this service.
You are consenting to provide them with Your contact information. The moment You allow Your badge to be scanned You engage in a direct relationship with the Event Partners and thereafter the Event Partner may contact you, subject to their respective data collection policies and practices. If You do not wish an Event Partner to contact You in the future, or wish to exercise Your rights of access, deletion, rectification or portability, please communicate this directly with the Event Partner at the Event or thereafter.

The contact information contained in Your printed or digital encoded badge is limited to the following information You provide at registration: First Name, Last Name, Company, Job title, Address, City, State/Province, Country, Postcode, Email, Mobile Phone Number, Company Industry Type, Your Area of Responsibility, Job Function and Your Areas of Interest.
You may receive personal and contact information from attendees and exhibitors that is voluntarily provided to You or otherwise obtained in accordance with applicable law.
You cannot sell any of this information and must comply with any restrictions placed on the use of such information.
By attending this Event, You agree that, without the prior written consent of the Organiser:
(i) You will not bring into the Event venue any equipment for the purpose of recording or broadcasting sounds or images for any purpose other than a private non-commercial purpose (and any such equipment may be confiscated by the Organiser and any recordings made destroyed);
(ii) You will not make any recording or take any photographs for any purpose;
(iii) You will not publish, licence or in any way disseminate recordings or photographs taken within the Event venue of any persons or material.
You consent to OTC / Startup Ohrid and its authorised third parties making and storing recordings of You, Your image, Your voice and likeness by any means (the “Recordings”) without compensation of any kind to You.
You release OTC / Startup Ohrid, its affiliates, and its authorised third parties from any and all claims and causes of action You may have now or in the future including but not limited to defamation, invasion of the right of privacy, publicity or personality, copyright or trademark infringement and unfair competition, and agree not to institute any legal action based on any grounds whether or not specified in this section.
You agree that OTC / Startup Ohrid, or the applicable third party, is the copyright owner of the Recordings, and is not obligated to use the Recordings. All the rights granted to the Organiser by You hereunder are irrevocable and perpetual, and You waive all rights to any equitable relief in connection with the Terms set forth herein. To exercise Your data subject rights with respect to third parties’ recordings, You must contact that third party directly.
Ohrid Tech City has taken every care in the preparation of content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all the Services have been fairly described. However, orders/registrations will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods and/or services or their prices as advertised on Ohrid Techathlon’s web site.
All prices are displayed exclusive of any applicable taxes.
The Organiser expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility for usage of, implementation of, impact from, or communications of the ideas or discussions presented by any attendee, speaker or other participant at the Event.
The Organizer does not guarantee any privacy protection nor does it assume any liability if someone’s privacy is violated or violated during the event. The event is of an open type and each participant is required to make their own efforts to protect and guarantee their privacy and the data they share/exchange (make physically, verbally or digitally available) with/to other participants of the event.
36.1 Participants attend at their own risk. “Organizer disclaims all liability for any personal injury, loss, property damage, or consequential loss, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.”
36.2 Participants agree to indemnify the Organizer against claims arising from breach or conduct at the Event.
36.3 By all mentioned above you agree to, give consent or represent that:
You assume full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by you in your participation in The Event (whether to persons or property, and whether to yourself or others) and release the OTC, The Event, all sponsors of The Event, The Event volunteers, The Event staff, guests of The Event and all other participants in The Event (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability therefore. YOU ARE AWARE THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND THAT THE RELEASE HEREIN IS INTENDED TO REFLECT THAT UNDERSTANDING.
The goods and services ordered through the organiser websites are provided to you “as is”. Ohrid Tech City gives no express warranties, guarantees, or conditions. To the extent permitted by law, OTC excludes the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We also make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
You acknowledge and agree that Your attendance or participation in the Event or any related activities (including, but not limited to Your participation in demonstrations or hospitality offerings) is completely voluntary and You understand the nature of the Event.
You accept and assume all risks of any and all personal injury or damage to your personal property that you may face while attending the Event. You hereby release Ohrid Tech City and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, licensors, successors and assigns from, AND WAIVE, any and all claims, demands, causes of action, suits, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) that You may have now or in the future, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEN OR UNFORESEEN, associated in any way with the Event.
All partner, sponsor, and brand logos displayed on event pages (including but not limited to the partners, sponsors, collaborators, or supporters sections) are uploaded and managed solely by the respective event organizers. Ohrid Techathlon acts only as an Event’s web site/platform provider and does not independently verify, endorse, or claim association with any brand or organization displayed by event organizer(s).
If any brand owner believes their logo, name, or trademark has been used without proper authorization, they may request removal by contacting support@ohridtechcity.com. Upon receiving a valid request, OTC and Ohrid Techathlon team will review and take appropriate action, including removal of the concerned content where necessary.
OTC and Ohrid Techathlon reserves the right to remove any content that violates intellectual property rights, applicable laws, or platform policies.
While we implement reasonable safeguards:
Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, licensors, successors and assigns will not be liable to you under any cause of action or theory of liability (whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise), even if a party has been advised of the possibility of such damages, for (i) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or (ii) lost profits, revenues, customers, opportunities, or goodwill.
Subject to the above and the waivers of liability set forth in these terms, the aggregate liability of Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, licensors, successors and assigns to you under these terms or in relation to the event will not exceed the registration fee paid by you, and received by OTC/Startup Ohrid, to attend the event.
The limitations in this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. You agree that any action must be commenced within fifteen (15) days after the claim or cause of action arises.
You hereby agree that any and all disputes must be brought on an individual basis only.
By agreeing to these terms, you hereby waive any right to litigate any claim as a class action or representative action against Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid or its affiliates.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, licensors, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgements, settlements, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or related in any way to any breach of these terms by You, any breach of an applicable law by You, or any other liabilities incurred by the Organiser relating to or arising out of Your attendance, participation or access to, the Event.
Where the Event or services are unavailable for any reason beyond the reasonable control of OTC/Startup Ohrid, we shall have no liability (whether direct or indirect) to You. We are not liable if the Event is, in whole or in part, cancelled, rescheduled or postponed, or for any failure or delay to perform our obligations under these Terms, if such event results from anything beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: (a) power or server outages or electronic or communications failure; (b) update or maintenance periods; (c) acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster; (d) disease, epidemic or pandemic; (e) terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations; (f) nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom; (g) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority; (h) collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident; (i) any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts; (j) non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors; (k) interruption or failure of utility service , (l) or anything else that renders performance of the Event, in whole or in part, impracticable, illegal or impossible.
The Organiser may modify these Terms, including any policies hyperlinked to in these Terms, at any time by posting a revised version on the Event website.
The modified terms will become effective upon posting. Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid has no obligation to directly notify You of changes to these Terms.
By attending the Event or accessing the Services after Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid has posted modifications to these Terms, You expressly agree to be bound by the modified terms. It is Your responsibility to check the Event website regularly for modifications to these Terms.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between OTC/Startup Ohrid and You with respect to the Event, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between You and Ohrid Techathlon /OTC/Startup Ohrid with respect to the Event. However, there may be legal notices on other areas of this website that relate to the ordering of goods and services, all of which will, together with these Terms, govern Your ordering of Services.
A printed version of the Terms and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to the Terms to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of the Terms or portion thereof to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of the Terms, and the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect. No waiver by either party of any clause, breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default.
You agree to be bound by any affirmation, assent, or agreement You transmit through this Website or an App associated with the Event, including but not limited to any consent You give to receive communications from Ohrid Techathlon/OTC/Startup Ohrid solely through electronic transmission. You agree that when in the future You click on “I agree,” “I consent,” “I have read and accept” or other similarly worded “button”, entry field or check box with Your mouse, keystroke, or other computer device, Your agreement or consent is legally binding and enforceable and the legal equivalent of Your handwritten signature.
The section titles in these Terms are solely used for the convenience of the parties and have no legal or contractual significance. Notices to You may be made via either email or regular mail. All listed policies hyperlinked to in these Terms, including but not limited to, Event health and safety protocols, Anti-Harassment Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are expressly incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms and all matters arising out of or relating to these Terms, whether in contract, tort, by statute or otherwise, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Republic of North Macedonia without giving effect to the conflict of law provisions. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Macedonian courts.
The present Terms and conditions are governed by Macedonian Law.
For any dispute arising in connection with the construction and/or performance of the present terms, the courts having jurisdiction at the place of the registered office of Ohrid Tech City will solely be competent to rule on the matter, which is expressly acknowledged and agreed by the parties.
1. Entire Agreement: These Terms supersede all prior understandings.
2. Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect remaining terms.
3. If any of the clauses included in these Terms of Use should be declared, in whole or in part, null and void or ineffective by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder shall not be affected and shall continue in full force and effect.
4. All disclaimers, exclusions and, if applicable, indemnities set forth in the Terms of Use shall survive termination of the relationship for any reason whatsoever.
5. The failure of OHRID TECH CITY to exercise individually or in part, or the failure or delay in exercising, any right, power or remedy shall not constitute a waiver by you nor shall it exclude or prejudice any other exercise of any right, power or remedy arising under these Terms of Use.
6. OHRID TECH CITY reserves the freedom to assign the Terms of Use to any association or third party company without the prior consent of the Users.
7. The User may not assign, transfer or transfer any of its rights under the Terms of Use without the prior written consent of OHRID TECH CITY.
8. The Terms of Use together with the particular conditions, if any, constitute the entire agreement between the User and OHRID TECH CITY and supersede all prior agreements, including communications, representations or agreements, oral or written, with respect to the subject matter (except fraudulent representations), without prejudice to any specific agreements or contracts entered into at a later date.
We expect participants to follow these Terms and Conditions at all OTC/Startup Ohrid/Ohrid Techathlon events, workshop venues, hackathon-related competitions, meet-ups and social events (in both on-line and off-line versions)!

“Subscription(s)/Membership(s)” means:
It is the type of plan, enrollment privileges or perks (set of services and benefits) that the Registered User can contract and use to become a Member of Ohrid Tech City of Talent and have access to the advantages of belonging to this ecosystem of innovative and technological companies. “Rate”, means:
The rates applied for the Subscriptions/Membership fee(s) that you can consult by clicking here.
“User(s)” means:
Any natural or legal person using the Website.
“Registered User(s)” means:
The User who has joined the OHRID TECH CITY ecosystem by sending the form in the JOIN US section or/and has requested registration for the OHRID TECH CITY newsletter through the Website or/and has decided to form part of the Region Startup Observatory by means of the corresponding form.
“Web” means:
The site and corresponding domain, hosting space, page or set of pages, contents, graphics and other miscellaneous information contained in such space or pages, accessible through computer, mobile devices or other electronic means of OHRID TECH CITY.
In these Terms of Use, unless a contrary intention appears:
(a) The use of the singular shall include the plural and vice versa.
(b) The use of any gender includes the other genders.
(c) Headings are used for reference only.
(d) References to any legislation or rule include any successor legislation or rule, and are to the legislation or rules of the Republic of Macedonia unless otherwise expressed.
(e) Any phrase introduced by the terms “including”, “include”, “in particular” or any similar expression is to be construed as illustrative and does not limit the meaning of the words preceding those terms.
2.1 OHRID TECH CITY provides the User with a website that aims to be a meeting point for the ecosystem of innovative and technological companies from Ohrid and the wider region, which promotes the transformation and competitiveness of the economy of this region.
2.2 The purpose of the Conditions of Use is to regulate the conditions of access and use of the Web by the User.
2.3 The access or use of certain content or services may require the approval by the User of particular and specific conditions, which would supplement these Terms of Use. Said particular conditions, due to their special nature, shall prevail over these Terms of Use.
The owner association of the Web is Ohrid Tech City is an Association for technological development and support of startups and high-tech companies, or in short Ohrid Tech City, OTC or Startups’ Association.
4.1 Users who wish may join Ohrid Tech City City by completing the registration form included in the JOIN US! section of the Website.
4.2 Once the details indicated by the User in Clause 4.1 have been verified by OHRID TECH CITY, the latter will contact the User to inform him/her that his/her application has been registered and, if appropriate, request additional information so that his/her application can be examined and, if appropriate, approved by the OHRID TECH CITY Assessment Committee.
Membership will be considered as finally awarded once the application is filled out and submitted in fully (with all requested questions answered) and valid only upon the notification and acceptance by Ohrid Tech City.

4.4 The amounts will be paid by the means of payment indicated by OHRID TECH CITY.
4.5 Subscriptions are automatically renewed for annual periods unless the Ohrid Tech City Member or OHRID TECH CITY express in writing their intention not to renew the Subscription with one (1) month’s notice prior to the expiry date of the current annual period.
5.1 With the aim of addressing the economic crisis generated by the coronavirus in entrepreneurs, OHRID TECH CITY has launched the Ohrid Region Startup Observatory for the study of the Ohrid innovative and technological entrepreneurship ecosystem.
5.2 To join this community, you must complete the registration form found in the OBSERVATORY section of the Web, in which you will be asked to accept the privacy policy of the Web, a necessary requirement, and to complete the admission form.
5.3 With these data and once a verification of these has been carried out, you may be contacted if your candidacy has not been registered in the Observatory or, if necessary, request clarification of the information provided.
6.1 The User may not use the Web for illegal, illicit or unauthorized purposes by OHRID TECH CITY, in which case the User will be solely responsible for such acts. For exemplary and merely enunciative purposes these acts include:
7.1 OHRID TECH CITY holds the intellectual and industrial property rights, as owner or licensee, over the content, design and source code of this Web Site and, in particular, including but not limited to, images, text, logos, designs, trademarks, trade names and software files included therein. The User is warned that such rights are protected by the Macedonian Spanish and international legislation in force regarding intellectual and industrial property. In any case, access to the Web implies any kind of waiver, transmission or total or partial transfer of the rights granted by Macedonian Spanish and international legislation on intellectual and industrial property.
7.2. Unless otherwise stated, Ohrid Tech City/Startup Ohrid and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all materials presented, published or represented on/by Ohrid Tech City/Startup Ohrid and its web site(s). You may access this from Ohrid Tech City/Startup Ohrid/ Ohrid Techathlon for your own personal use subjected to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.

You are entitled to create profile on our website and have all necessary licenses and consents to do so;
Ohrid Tech City has a right to erase any profile that Ohrid Tech City sees as unappropriated.
7.3 Any use by third parties of the same or any similar identifying sign that may lead to confusion as to its origin or ownership is expressly prohibited without the prior written authorisation of OHRID TECH CITY requested through the channels provided for in Clause 10 for communicating with OHRID TECH CITY.
7.4 Likewise, and without prejudice to the foregoing, the content of the Web is also considered a computer program, protected by Macedonian law. It is strictly prohibited to reproduce (except as permitted by applicable legislation), copy, use, distribute, reuse, exploit, make second copies, send by mail, transmit, modify, transfer or any other act that is done with all or part of the information contained on the Web that has not been expressly authorized by OHRID TECH CITY.
7.5 The User undertakes to use the contents in a diligent, correct and lawful manner and, in particular, undertakes to refrain from deleting, evading or manipulating the copyright and other data identifying the rights of OHRID TECH CITY or its collaborators or their owners incorporated in the contents, as well as the technical protection devices or any information mechanisms that may be included in the contents.
7.6 OHRID TECH CITY informs that it does not grant any license or implicit authorization whatsoever on the intellectual and/or industrial property rights or on any other right or property related, directly or indirectly, to the contents included in the Web.
8.1 The Web is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. 8.4 The adequacy of the Web to the needs or expectations of Users.
8.5 OHRID TECH CITY cannot guarantee the day or time of response to any e-mail, telephone contact, written message or communication through the Web. OHRID TECH CITY assumes no responsibility for any failure or delay resulting from any matter beyond the reasonable control of OHRID TECH CITY.
8.6 In any event, the liability of OHRID TECH CITY that may arise directly or indirectly from any breach of its commitments or, in general, for the Web, will be limited to cases of fraud. In any event, OHRID TECH CITY’s liability for damages to a Ohrid Tech City Member will in no event exceed the total amount paid to OHRID TECH CITY in the calendar year prior to the event that caused the damage.
9.1 Registered Users will be able to unsubscribe, voluntarily and whenever they wish, by sending an e-mail to the address contact@ohridtechcity.com, providing sufficient proof of their identity. If there are any outstanding obligations on the part of the User with OHRID TECH CITY, these must be fulfilled prior to deregistration. In any event, the obligations relating to unpaid amounts for the Subscription contracted by the Member of Ohrid Tech City will survive even if the Member unsubscribes.
9.2 The Company shall proceed to carry out the cancellation within ten (10) working days following receipt of the email from the Registered User requesting the cancellation, unless there are technical reasons or force majeure that may prevent it.
9.3 In the event that the Ohrid Tech City Member has a Subscription/Membership with an annual fee, the cancellation request must be made one month prior to the renewal of the Subscription/Membership. Consequently, the cancellation will be processed in accordance with section 9.1 but will be effective at the end of the Subscription/Membership period. Until the end of this period, the User may continue to enjoy the status of Member of Ohrid Tech City City of Talent.
9.4 The Company reserves the right to suspend or interrupt the Website, or suspend or exclude Registered Users in the event that they engage in the conduct set forth in Clause 4 and 5.
9.5 Suspension or exclusion of Ohrid Tech City City of Talent Members shall be cause for failure to pay the amount corresponding to their Subscription/Membership within the term indicated in Clause 4 and 5 or to carry out any of the prohibited uses set forth in Clause 6.
