This hands-on innovation workshop introduces social entrepreneurial students to the transformative potential of emerging technologies for civil society. Designed within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges SINFT project (Social Impact NFTs), the session bridges the gap between youth creativity, technology, and real-world non-profit fundraising. Rather than treating Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) as speculative financial assets, participants explore how blockchain and Artificial Intelligence can serve as transparent “impact achievement tools”.
Participants begin with an interactive introduction to the SINFT platform, discovering how its 28 free self-paced MOOC courses and Solana-based architecture enable low-cost, energy-efficient digital fundraising. The workshop then transitions directly into collaborative team action modeled after SINFT Innovation Labs. Working alongside representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), student groups analyze specific community missions—ranging from local environmental action to senior social care.
During the AI & NFT Creative Challenge, teams utilize AI prompt engineering to transform social narratives into compelling digital visual concepts, defining campaign titles, metadata stories, and real-world donor impacts. Each project incorporates SINFT’s transparent smart contract model. The session concludes with the high-energy NFT Pitch Challenge, where teams deliver 5-minute pitches to persuade their peers and receive constructive feedback. By combining design thinking, ethical AI, and Web3 transparency, this workshop equips future social entrepreneurs with practical digital capacity, demonstrating how technology can directly mobilize community support and fund sustainable societal change.

This workshop is financially supported by Social Impact NFTs: Empowering youth to make a social impact by creating NFTs (https://sinft.net/), an EU Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges initiative that equips young people and civil society organizations with digital skills to launch transparent, cause-driven fundraising campaigns. Three key organizations from North Macedonia lead the project’s development and execution: Poraka Nova (Bitola), project coordinator; Angor AG (Struga), an IT and R&D company; and UIST “St. Paul the Apostle” (Ohrid), as academic partner.
A two-day innovation festival packed with engineering competitions, hands-on challenges, workshops and showcase moments — built for creators, dreamers and doers.
